Spill Containment Stacking Shelves and EPA Compliance

Secondary spill containment requires measures to stay in compliance. These shelves will help a company stay in compliance of federal regulations. In one scenario, a company may have too many containers on one pallet, some of them only partially on the spill deck. This violates the first part of EPA 40 CFR 264.175, which states, "The containment unit must underlie the containers…" Containers halfway off the edge are definitely not following this regulation. The stacking shelves can help fit additional smaller containers on the spill containment pallet while still being in compliance of this rule.

These shelves can fit on many different spill control pallets that GEI Works offers. Take a look at all the options on the Spill Containment Pallet page.
